Whatever they are paying this guy, it is not enough:
A Louisville pizza delivery driver who was carjacked, robbed and stabbed still managed to make his delivery, which happened to be at a local emergency room. […] The pizza store’s regional manager says Lewis made the delivery, which was addressed to the Norton Hospital emergency room, before he collapsed.
Hardcore. Presumably “Hi! Here’s your pizza, I tried not to bleed on it. I’m going to keel over now.”

Hey, if you’re heading that way….
Regrettably, the pizza did not arrive within the thirty minute window, so it was free, he received no tip, and lost his job.
LOL. Alan. Yes that would really make the story rancid, hahaha. In fact the pizza company is doing a fund raiser for the guy 😀
Great story. Talk about service above and beyond… LOL
Reminds me of Hiro Protagonist, in Snow Crash…
“A Louisville Metro police department spokesman says officers are still looking for the suspect and Lewis’ truck.”
Hey, I know, let’s have a description of the alleged assailant in the papers and other media, and maybe the public can help?
I’m guessing “black and driving a truck”. But that’s just a guess.
Quite so Perry.
I’m minded of the reality that Richard Davis, inventor of soft body armour and founder of Second Chance
(see him demonstrate his confidence in his product here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIhyETXW1u0)
originally began his development work after being robbed at gunpoint and shot while working as a pizza delivery driver.
Perhaps Dominos should spring for body armour for their delivery drivers in high-risk neighbourhoods. Might be more useful than organizing a fund raiser after the fact.
llater,
llamas
It is some independent pizza joint called Spinelli’s Pizzeria, not Dominos.
BIG tip.
