Media bias? What media bias?

In Lebanon media bias goes to a whole new level:

A Lebanese TV news presenter has been sacked over comments in which she gloated over the assassination of anti-Syrian politician Walid Eido.

The presenter, who has not been named, then went on to name a Lebanese MP who would be assassinated next.

She was unaware that her microphone was on and that the comments were being broadcast live.

That is taking character assassination way over the top.

  • This is unscripted truth spoken about what an entire segment of that society really thinks and thus far more revealing than the scripted news.

At least they aren’t a feral beast (like The Independent) who criticise the Government. Or they’d have to be regulated so that politicians could decide what’s best for the country without the interference of commentary or criticism.

Announcing who was going to be murdered for the public good is just the sort of public information task we need the media for. It would be ‘sending the right signals’ about the sort of unacceptable behaviour that might get you murdered.

This presenter should apply for a job with the B.B.C.

Or with Public Broadcasting in the United States, or with NBC news or Mr Kaplin’s CBS news.

I think A.B.C. would not employ her though – perhaps (as they still use the dots) the remember that A.B.C. stands for the American Broadcasting Company. “Liberals” they are (mostly) but they would draw the line at murder.

My apologies, I should have typed “Kaplan” not “Kaplin”.

By the way if anyone thinks I over egged the pudding concerning Rick Kaplan (the head of CBS news) they should look up his record some time.

In his way he is just as bad as the “ex” Marxists at NBC.
