We are ruled by lies

Loved the comment about the national love of the monarchy, the playing of the national anthem, the love of the English church – all indicating the Brits worshipping themselves. (His words.)

We Americans have always done the same thing. It’s the flying of flags. It’s a good thing. It’s nationalistic pride – something a successful nation absolutely needs in order to thrive.

The Brits seem to have lost that love of self – but it may be reappearing. That’s your best hope. England – the UK – whatever – is worth rescuing. Y’all need to stop absorbing the woke lecture of “boy, do we suck.”

Agreed, with one, small, proviso-we didn’t quite “lose our love of self”, at least not in the sense of misplacing or abandoning it; rather, it was consciously and systematically destroyed.

    But you knew that.

As a colonial immigrant myself, I’ve never understood the lack of reaction to this ideological onslaught. Indeed, I would add that many of the most patriotic Brits are to be found amongst the assimilated immigrants. We KNOW what we’re buying into (or at least what we were buying into) and that, while it is not perfect, it’s pretty damn good.

One of the best videos I’ve watched for a long time.

bobby b – form without content does not work.

For example, church that does not believe in its own basic doctrines will decline and fall. As an atheist Dr Starkey does not really grasp this – and his implied historical claim that the Anglican Church was always a form of “self worship” is FALSE.

As for a flag – if it does not stand for real principles, then you get Francis and Edward Bellamy – the “National Socialists” (their term – to describe themselves) with their Pledge of Allegiance to “the flag” NOT to the Constitution – the Constitution they HATED.

Dr Starkey may be wrong in some of his detail claims – but his central historical claim is true.

Britain is not a nation of immigrants – I am of “immigrant stock” (by great grandfather was a Russian Jewish immigrant – and I also have Irish ancestry, although all of Ireland was part of the United Kingdom at the time), but over 90% of the population of the United Kingdom when I was born came from families that had been here for many centuries.

So the claims that Britain, or England (the part of Britain most under threat) has “always been a nation of immigrants” are indeed LIES.

As for the new populations – some are friendly and may, at least partly, assimilate over time – but some have utterly opposed cultural principles. They do not come to this island to be British – they come to change this island into a different nation, part of their world – their world view, and that is true for their children and children’s children. And these people are entitled to their culture, their nation, their world view (I do not deny them any of that) – but if it becomes what this island is, where do the British go to live? Or do they live at all?

The establishment response to any honest discussion of these matters is punish-punish-punish, persecute-persecute-persecute.

It is indeed a response of repression – aimed at creating a climate of fear, to enforce a official narrative that is a collection of lies.
