I wrote to the Department of Culture, Media & Sport (!) back on 10th January to nominate the CCTV camera as an ‘icon of England’… and they have just written back accepting the nomination.

It appears almost impossible to find out what people have said in response except for the few on the relevant icon page, without wading through all the comments, although I see there are only about 300 so it isn’t exactly a high volume site. I’ve seen threads here with more than that…
