The Greenland Agreement Picture Book

Interesting factual summary from Commander Salamander…

This is where it scratches the old Cold War itch while addressing the very real fact that regardless of what happens in the Russo-Ukrainian War and with the demographics of those nations in the coming decades, the geography is not changing.

Russia is not going to disappear.

Funny! I remember well the TDS here about Greenland.

    Seriously, not literally.

  • Jim

But Trump’s still an idiot, right?

It wasn’t until I saw a map of the world centred on the North Pole that I realised the strategic importance of Greenland. Frankly the fact that no one in the US has seemed to bother about it until Trump did is bordering on the criminally negligent.

  • Sean

I’m inclined to believe Trump on the current AI panic du jour too. It’s just another scam propagated by the international grift community.

  • JJM

    Eight hundred and fifty-one days!

  • Funny! I remember well the TDS here about Greenland.

Well to be fair Trump was talking about literally annexing Greenland, which this is not. Moreover, if it was a negotiating tactic to get to this, it is one that has permanently made French style “tous azimuts” defence planning for America’s supposed allies mainstream… & I doubt that will ever change now.

  • bobby b

Is “tous azimuts” French for “going Dutch“?

    😉

  • JJM

“Is ‘tous azimuts’ French for ‘going Dutch’?”

No. It’s literally all azimuths but essentially implies defence in all directions.

  • Is “tous azimuts” French for “going Dutch“?

No. Technically speaking it was a French policy that made it clear their defence was oriented in “all directions” and not just against the Soviet Union. It specifically meant their nuclear weapons had targeting options that were not just in Russia. It was a political statement more than a real threat, just making it clear French defence priorities would be set in Paris in accordance with French interests, rather than in Washington DC.

These days the term is used by military policy wonks as code for “have contingency plans for operating without the United States and potentially against American wishes”.

The agreement on Greenland is good – President Trump has done well on this matter. However, the Islamic Republic of Iran is not Denmark – trying to get a “deal” with the IRI is folly, utter folly, and has been from the start – the IRI regime could-and-should have been destroyed many months ago.

As for American “allies” in Europe – all of them have Hate Speech laws – they would put President Trump and ordinary Americans in prison, they would close down conservative television stations and other institutions such as anti Communist museums, and they would try and drive people they do not like from politics (the new government in Hungary is typical of these European Union type governments – as is the British establishment even though the United Kingdom is, officially, not part of the European Union).

These governments are not allies of the United States – and it would be a mistake to treat them as allies.

“Russia is not going to disappear” – sadly it may disappear, even before Mr Putin’s war Russian demographics were terrible (and the Ukrainian demographic position was-and-is worse – a dying nation, a dying people, even before the war), now so many tends of thousands of young men who should have been husbands and fathers have been sacrificed to Mr Putin’s war.

Mr Putin is increasingly replying on Islamic forces i.e. on people have been enemies of the Russians for more than a thousand years. Ironic as he made his name with butchery of Muslims in the Chechen wars – he believes they have forgotten that (I doubt it).

Eventually (not now – but eventually) Moscow may end up about as Russian as New York is American (a very large proportion of the people in NYC can not speak English – and most voters there have a deep hatred of the United States, which they showed by, for example, by voting for Mr Mandani – whose parents should not have been allowed to enter the United States) or Birmingham is English.

Contrary opinions are that….. Islam is not to be feared (that something called “Islamism”, not Islam, is the problem), and that there is no such thing as English (or Russian?) ethnicity – these contrary views are argued for by Mr Jacob Rees-Mogg in his recent YouTube films.

It should be stressed that Mr Rees-Mogg is not arguing that there is a British cultural and political identity (if he did that – there would be no disagreement), he argues that there is no English ethnic identity – that Englishness is entirely a political and cultural matter.

Such a position would have utterly astonished such people as Winston Churchill and J.R.R. Tolkien.

As for Russia – there are two different words in Russian – for a citizen of Russia (political identity), and for an ethnic Russian (ethnic identity).

Presently the great majority of people in Russia are both – but demographic trends are against the Russkies – and even more against the Ukrainians.

    Thanks for nothing Mr Putin.

As for Russian natural resources (Russia being “the Treasure House of nations”) – whether they fall to Islam or to the People’s Republic of China, either way that is still bad news.

And the West is already starting to be denied those resources – for example Russia used to be second biggest exporter of diesel in the world, but attacks on Russian refineries have led the Putin regime to end all exports of diesel (out of fear that there will be shortages in Russia itself if they do not end exports).

This is leading to the highest increase in diesel prices on the world market ever seen in an American midterm election cycle.

The public are being told “it is Trump’s war with Iran” (a war that could have been won many months ago – if it were not for the endless, and utterly absurd, “talks” and “cease fires” and on and on) – when it is really attacks on Russian refineries.

So the Dems win the Mid Term elections (without even needing their election fraud – although they will do that anyway) – and everything goes to Hell, more Impeachment Trials, and a green light to Democrat District Attorneys to charge conservatives, and their families, with FAKE crimes – which Democrat juries will be only too happy to convict them of.

“The accused burned Rome in 64AD – he was motivated by racism and homophobia”.

“Yes-yes” says the New York (or other Big City) Jury “send him to prison – rape him to death!”.

The Russian author Dostoevsky wrote a novel about the twisted mentality of Revolutionaries (and he had shared that mentality himself – he knew it only too well) – the book was titled “The Possessed”. This did NOT mean that the Revolutionaries had heads that spun round 360 degrees and they had green pus flowing from their mouth and eyes, but it did mean that they were so blinded by hatred that they were willing to do anything (anything at all) to get rid of the current system – even though it would be replaced by a vastly WORSE system (Dostoevsky understood if the Czar fell what came after would be vastly worse).

American (and other Western) leftists today are indeed “The Possessed” – they will do anything, anything at all, to destroy what is left of Western civilization – and they either do not know, or do not care, that it will be replaced by something vastly worse.

And in a few months the Possessed will control Congress.

It is clear from what happened in the Commonwealth of Virginia that “moderate Democrats” are not moderate – they are the Possessed.

Bobby: speaking for myself, i don’t remember word4word what i wrote about Trump/Greenland, but i believe that the substance of what i wrote was that, in this specific case, Trump’s remarks did not look to me like the way of winning friends and influencing people.

I also wrote that, if there is a non.NATO (ie Russian and /or Chinese) threat, then Denmark has nowhere to go except the US.
It seems that the Danes and Greenlanders have accepted this reality.

  • Fred the Fourth

Rees-Mogg: “there is a British cultural and political identity (if he did that – there would be no disagreement), he argues that there is no English ethnic identity ”

Uh-huh. Tell that to the Irish, Welsh and Scots (if there are any True Scotsmen left. History may make concrete that old fallacy.).

  • Paul Marks

Fred the Fourth – interesting point.

I do not know if Mr Rees-Mogg believes that the ethnic groups of Irish, Welsh and Scottish exist – or whether he holds that, like the English, they are just “social-constructs”, as the left say – like being a man or a woman is a “social construct”,

Clearly if the English do not exist – then they can not have had conflicts with these other ethnic groups. All of which, as you say, now have a fertility rate below 2 and so face slow-motion-genocide (feminism has led to this – as it was designed to do, designed mainly by MEN, leftist death-to-the-West philosophers, if one traces the ideas back far enough)

Also the Gentleman’s call for more spending on the military, for a war with Russia, is not going down well with his audience on YouTube (not a conservative site – it is owned by the leftist Google, and has a leftist bias – but clearly is not biased enough to help the Gentleman in this particular case) – with people pointing out that the money already spent on the Royal Navy and “Border Force” has not really stopped a single boat of the present invasion (not taken back to France – let alone “horror of horrors” SUNK) – indeed the establishment hold that it would be utterly immoral to stop the invaders, holding that the invaders must be brought ashore, which does raise the question of what “Border Force” and the Royal Navy are for – if they have any real function (ditto the army and the Royal Air Force) – very unfortunate considering the proud record of the armed forces.

However, one must not be obsessed with the boats – what is driving the destruction of this nation (and other Western nations) is NOT the boats, it is the twin policies (and they are policies – and have been for many years) of reducing the fertility rate of the native populations – and encouraging hostile populations to engage in natural increase. However, it should be pointed out that if Mr Rees-Mogg is correct that the English (and other Western national ethnic groups?) do-not-exist then the entire conversation is moot – as a group of people who do not exist, can not be destroyed.

As for war with Russia, whether conventional war or thermonuclear war, well we are told two things – that Russia is loosing the war in Ukraine (that the International Community is winning – an International Community that has no love for Ukrainians, indeed wants to replace them, as it does all Western peoples), and that Russia is about to invade various Western nations.

Both of these propositions can not be true – if Russia, or rather Mr Putin, is losing in Ukraine it would make no sense to attack other countries and Russia would not have the forces to be able to attack other countries.

Perhaps (perhaps) neither of the propositions is true – after all they come from the same international establishment that lied about Covid and lies about everything else.

What clearly is true is that Mr Putin was utterly wrong to start this war in Ukraine – both morally wrong and practically wrong, he has cost vast numbers of people their lives – in a war for lands he admitted (many years ago now) have no real value to Russia – which they do not.

Just because the International Community is evil (and it is evil) does not mean that Mr Putin is good – on the contrary, he is also evil.

With fuel prices at such terrible heights (largely due to the war with Russia – not the war with the Islamic Republic of Iran, although the latter is an ally of the former – and without the war with the IRI Mr Putin would have vastly more drones and missiles which would have come from the IRI) the Dems will take Congress in the midterm elections.

The Trump Administration will be isolated – and he and his associates, and family, will come under various forms of attack – with the media cheering on the persecution.

The International Community, international establishment, will gain control of the United States (they control the government and corporate bureaucracy already – and almost all institutions), as they already control the United Kingdom.

Hostility to the family, and to private (individual and family owned) property, and the claim that men and women are the same, and the encouragement of various sexual perversions, goes all the way back to Plato – Aristotle defends the traditional view of these matters against Plato’s attacks.

The ideas have come back again and again, over thousands of years, the egalitarian movement that led to civil war in the Persian Empire (a movement that held that property, and women, should be owned in common), the Anabaptist commune at Munster, the savage Civil War in China in the 19th century that led to tens of millions of deaths (and is almost unknown now – has been “shoved down the Memory Hole”), the Bloomsbury Set, the Fabians, the Apostles Club at Cambridge (who went from Plato to Karl Marx) and-so-on.

But these ideas only became mainstream policy in the West from the 1960s onwards.

Governments were very big in Western nations in 1960 (and that was very bad) – but Western societies (even as late as 1960) were fundamentally sane.

Clearly you have never heard of the Wolfowitz Doctrine.
Putin has…and saw it in action.

“…a negotiating tactic…” Of course it is with Trump. Everything is, or at the very least is intended to not degrade Trump’s position in the negotiation while indulging Trump’s worst New York Real estate developer’s sense of propriety.

Every single time the usual suspects flip out over something Trump says, it turns out he didn’t mean it, it was irrelevant, a tactical distraction, or a brilliant way to occupy his adversaries minds while he moves toward the target.

Clearly, I’m a big fan of the results he’s gotten, with notable exceptions ($40T debt!)

And I would never NEVER leave him alone with a woman I care about. Or even one I don’t much care about.

  • Paul Marks

GregWA – President Trump should never have listened to “Doctor” Fauci and the other establishment filth over Covid (hence the increase in the debt) – but the lockdowns and so on, were worse here in Britain, at least President Trump allowed States to opt out.

As for women – it is true that President Trump has children by several ladies.

Alexander Johnson (the former British Prime Minister) puts President Trump the shade – having so many children, by so many different ladies, that he is said to have lost count.

However, half the DNA of a child comes from the mother – so are they really being exploited, or are they passing on their own genetic material. Remember these ladies and the children are well provided for.

Although, yes, a traditional family would be better.

Every “mainstream” newspaper in Britain is coming out with the same two propositions.

And so is every television station – including GB News, with Charles “Charlie” Peters (the person who stole the credit for exposing the Islamic rape gangs in Britain – Mark Steyn, and others, exposed this years ago) being one of the people pushing the two propositions.

The two propositions are – that Mr Putin is losing the war in Ukraine, AND that Mr Putin is about to attack Britain and other Western nations.

Both of these propositions can not be true – if Russia really is “losing the war” in Ukraine it would be in no position to attack Britain and other Western nations.

Perhaps NEITHER of these propositions, again propositions pushed by the entire “mainstream” media, are true – but certainly they can not BOTH be true.

  • Snorri Godhi

Paul Marks has mentioned POTUS Trump and former PM johnson (a Boris by any name).

    Elon Musk also deserves mention.
And so does, most emphatically, Temujin Borjigin.

  • Paul Marks

Snorri Godhi – quite correct Sir.

And Genghis Khan does indeed put us all in the shade – having fathered hundreds (thousands?) of children, and slaughtered vast numbers en enemies (with “enemy” being defined as anyone who was in his way).

With simple handtools (such as swords and bows) his armies may have managed to kill almost 1 in 10 of the population of the planet – although this does count deaths by starvation after they destroyed irrigation networks and burned crops – in wars (not randomly).

An astonishing achievement – although a morally questionable one.
