Betting on the law More from today’s New York Times, this time about a high tech company which makes its mega-bucks by betting that future security/Patriot Act legislation will be more intrusive than it is now. This is the Security-Industrial Complex getting into its stride, and its vested interests getting dug in.
This company makes X-ray snooping kit. There must be hundreds more doing similar stuff which we aren’t necessarily ever going to hear about.
