We are developing the social individualist meta-context for the future. From the very serious to the extremely frivolous... lets see what is on the mind of the Samizdata people.

PorcFest 2008

The very worthy folks of the Free State Project are holding an event in June in New Hampshire to highlight their work and maybe attract some more supporters.

[PorcFest 2008] is the FSP annual event as an out reach to those that are interested in migrating to promote Liberty and Freedom. We are trying to get the message out to a larger population that there will be a gathering of Liberty Activist coming together from anarchists to those working within the system meet and make the migration.

If you are interested in supporting the FSP and becoming a ‘porcupine’, check it out!

  • Where were the free staters when Ron Paul did so badly in New Hampshire?

Unfortunately, the MSM decided to report, as if it was “new news”, that a newsletter which bore Ron Paul’s name had published a racist article 15 years ago.

Paul did not write the article, did not see it before it was published, and fired the staffer involved. The MSM, however, decided to publish this “news” and to mix it with some non-racist material (for example, Paul’s non-support of the medal given to Rosa Parks, but not Paul’s non-support of the same medal being given to Ronald Reagan, nor his offer on both occasions to pay $100 out of his own pocket towards the $30,000 medal, if 299 others would do the same).

This would have been a non-problem, except that they did it on the day of the New Hampshire primary. It was therefore impossible to get the truth out before people had voted, and the “old news surprise” won the day for Big Government.

Another point is that RP still did the best of all of his primary wins IN NH (That doesn’t count caucuses, which are small turnouts where only a few folks show up, but primaries, ie large turnout)
