I personally supervised the sale of Greta to the Emperor Ming the Merciless of the Planet Mongo.
I have no idea how Greta escaped – I hope this escape will not reflect badly on my reputation as a slave trader.
I also sold all her internal organs – but they somehow escaped as well, and went back into Greta.
I call her St Greta The Grim. She is an utterly re-Greta-ble individual.
But I suspect that her best days as a global harridan are behind her, having aligned herself perhaps too closely to the now thoroughly repugnant Palestinian cause to elicit any broader appeal.

Mr David Lammy, Deputy Prime Minister and “Justice Secretary”, is an interesting person.
For example, on the television show “Mastermind” (for which Mr Lammy had put himself forward – as he believes himself to be a great intellect) he was asked about a “blue cheese” that traditionally went with port – rather than reply “stilton” – Mr Lammy suggested Red Leicester.
This, and his answers to the other questions (look them up), clearly shows that Mr Lammy is an unconventional thinker, with a different perspective on the world.
Defenders of Mr Lammy’s famously risible performance somewhat unwisely put forward the excuse that it was unfair to expect him to perform to his full intellectual capacity when under pressure.

So who got Greta’s brain?
Well John – Mr Lammy did get 8 answers correct on his specialist subject, and he get 5 general knowledge questions right.
But I agree – it was an awful performance, and not out of character – as Mr Lammy appears to be always like this, whether “under pressure” or not. The difficulty is that we live in a land where to point out that the Emperor has no clothes risks screams of “Racist!” and punishment.

Tom Hunter – as a nerd I must correct Peter Jackson, although I greatly admire his Lord of the Rings films, and agree with some of the changes Mr Jackson made – for example Tolkien admitted that he “underwrote” the character of Arwen, and Mr Jackson (I believe) was right to give her a bigger role in the films (specifically the first film) than Tolkien did in the book.
Sauron was not trying to replace men with orcs (as the Peter Jackson films imply) – Sauron wanted to be the Lord of Men, for he knew that men would dominate the future – and most of Sauron’s warriors were men (not orcs).
