  • “”Everyone wonders now what we have to do. I haven’t really got an answer to that – stand together and demonstrate maybe.

“I think the government has to do something.””

One has to recognise first, however, the very close correlation between levels of political freedom and actual freedom.

So Gilles, since you’re so superior to the person who was talking, who was at least honest about not knowing what to do, what would you propose?

The US approach was also something along the lines of “I think the government has to do something.”, the ‘something’ being military action, which in the case of Afganistan at least, made definite sense.

In this case, what would you propose that either individuals or governments do? I don’t have an answer, do you, or are you just gloating at other people’s misfortune & resulting confusion?

  • err how about for starts 1) stop asylum 2) deport anyasylum seeker associated with extremists

Are you sure Adriana was talking about French culture? It seems that Britain has less control over “substance” (whatever that might be defined to be) than France.

France, for all its faults and strangenesses, at least has many uniquely French ones….

…More so than Airstrip One, anyway…..
