Sounds like a covert research programme aimed at producing even more potent addictive synthetic drugs.

If you know exactly what the biochemical receptors are, and have perfected a vaccine or antibody or other drug delivery mechanism which binds to them, then it should be possible to create even more powerful, addictive and lucrative drugs.

What are the "acceptable" side effects ?

Who is going to authorise clinical trials of these "vaccines" on human children ?

This latest announcement arouses suspicon of yet more dastardly scheming of D Blunkett Esq.
One moment his crew are screaming about the young being addicted to drugs, alcohol and tobacco and now they are talking about filling them full of drugs, almost as soon as they are born. How can it be determined that a young child will automatically become addicted?

Obviously, the government are looking about getting their grubby hands on the share of the profits. Once again they use the "mantle of concern," as they use children as political pawns.

Heh... tell us something we don't know already.

The possibility of severe side effects down the line is something that never seems to occur to these would-be social engineers who, having failed to legislate the perfect society, have taken up the mantra of "better living through chemistry". For all the right reasons, of course... :P
