Comments on The One Gives It To 'Em Straight On Iran

I don't think it's a spoof, Iowahawk sounds like he's really serious this time... I mean, don't get him riled up.

or do. maybe.

Sure, lets pay for and "monitor" all the elections that other countries have. We can make sure that everybody has a version of ACORN active and busy to aid the Socialists, and we can use rigged voting machines programmed to cheat for the Fascists. And we can make sure that *bad* candidates don't get on the ballot. Sorry Libertarians and Hamas. You're required to be a democracy, but democracy means what *we say* it means. It means only *good* parties on the ballot.

Or, on the other hand, we could Mind Our Own Goddamn Business.

"Iowahawk...brilliant & funny....bookmarked since discovery years ago."

Absolutely - his Congressional Motors piss take was a real high.

ACORN is so last year (although it still continues) - Americore is the big thing now.

Same people in charge of course (the followers of Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals"), but vastly more taxpayer funding. And not just for building a Soviet United States - but also for personal corruption.

And if the Inspector General exposes a little of the corruption then, illegally, fire him. And then smear him as senile.

Do not worry the media will neither expose Barack Obama corruption or Barack Obama lies.

Instead even ABC (the moderate network) will first give three time more positive coverage than negative coverage for the Obama health care nationalization plan ("a scare tactic" - see the Obama 2003 speech on how he would use a government plan as a Trojan horse to move to a "single payer" system) and then forbid negative coverage.

That is right - forbid it. Refuse to take even paid ads (because the ads expose Obama admitting, indeed boasting, about what he now claims is "not true") whilst giving Barack Obama a full hour show (for free) as yet more health care propaganda.

Repeat - ABC is the moderate network (it is best not to dwell on the coverage of CBS and NBC).

"Practical" people said it did not matter that the left controlled the universities - now we see the results, both in the schools (via teacher training) and in the media (via general higher education and then schools of journalism).

"Paul all the above proves you have no sense of humour - it was light hearted post".

Guilty as charged - but I just do not find any mention of this man "President Barack Obama" amusing. We are living in a nightmare (and we are only at the start of it) - accept it is a nightmare from which there is no waking up.

Or, on the other hand, we could Mind Our Own Goddamn Business.

While I think that America often pokes her nose where it doesnt belong, since Iran has been committing overt and covert acts of war against the US almost daily since 1979, I think what is happening there is a wee bit 'our business.'

Iowahawk is on the right lines -- laugh at Obama; mock him; make him the butt of every joke. (OK, Obama went into a bar with a dog, and the barman said ...)

The New Ruling Class can survive being hated. They can survive being feared. But they cannot survive being laughed at.

I think that may be in Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals". Its in its Apocrypha for sure.

Right you are, Alice. In his chapter on Tactics, Alinsky's fifth rule is "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage."

Elsewhere in the book he makes the comment that "the most potent weapons known to mankind are satire and ridicule."

Incidentally, his sixth rule is "A good tactic is one that your people enjoy." This certainly applies to heaping on liberal doses of ridicule!
