Pah! What do you know of such things? I was a squaddie and I have no problem with Harry at all. Men take the shilling and go to war in search of adventure and usually they find it. As Churchill said, there is nothing more exciting than being shot at to no effect and that is the truth. Some get shot at to effect, some get screwed up, but most get an education about reality that I'm guessing you lack.

I did it and went to Bosnia and it opened my eyes to the reality of a lot of things. Sure I saw some terrible thing, but that was what I was expecting. The fact you don't have the inclination for it does not make it hypocritical or cynical.

Albion did not say anything about "enjoying killing people" - any more than Churchill did.

However, there is more than fear or long periods of boredom in war - and it is a lie to claim that there is not. If you do not believe Albion (or misunderstand him to think it is about killing people) then I advise you read Winston Churchill's works - starting with "The River War" (if you can get a copy that does not have anti Islamic radicalism parts edited out).
