A great Libertarian has died
Dale Amon (Belfast, Northern Ireland/Laramie, Wy)  North American affairs

I have just received the sad news that David Nolan, co-founder of the Libertarian Party and co-creator of the World's Smallest Political Quiz died November 21st, 2 days before his 67th birthday.

Comments

The world’s smallest political quiz will live on in memoriam perhaps converting a few every day or so. Not a bad legacy, a gift that goes on giving.

I learned this sad news the other day. His "World's Smallest Quiz" is a great piece of outreach. I prefer the single axis position, showing degrees of totalitarianism (extreme left - anarchy; extreme right - total state), but the compass is an influential innovation.

I hope he felt accomplished in his life, though he did not seem happy with the directions the party he helped create was taking.

Sad news.

Rest in peace.

He was a great guy and I remember long discussions with him in DC when he was still evolving.
