Oh dear... seems the EU is being beastly to us again.

I wonder if I can buy brain futures or it is just pork bellies?

lol, a friend sent this link to me a few days ago. I love it when memes are deliberately conjoined in a humourous way like this. :D

When I first saw it, I'll admit that it did take a minute to register that it was a spoof. (the address was a dead giveaway however).

The source of zombie-ism in "Shaun of the Dead" (that was a documentary, right?) was never adequately explained. I guess we now have the answer.

Holy jumpin Jesus!
Pun intended? :-)

Always my love!

Jesus was a zombie?

Fast or slow one?

Well fast I'd say Kristopher.
His whole career was briefer than the average one hit wonders boy band.

But he had it nailed down by the age of thirty.

(pun alert!)

Ouch:-) Pity Mid isn't around.

Perry, I've been thinking about the question you posed, and am having trouble seeing how a market in brain futures could develop. For you to buy them there would have to be a seller, and I can't see how anyone who actually had any would be on that side of the trade. (Well, for the right price I suppose I could be persuaded to sell a little of my excess capacity, or Rush Limbaugh might sell the half he has "tied behind his back", but that's hardly enough to make for a truly liquid market.) And I certainly don't think you'd want to buy them from a "naked" short seller; how could you expect take delivery?

A discussion of brain derivatives. Now if that don't beat all.

Posted by Sunfish at May 25, 2009 04:12 AM

Hmmm ... brain futures ... I'd sell short. Why? Because brains tomorrow, in our dumbed down society will be worth even less than they are worth today.

Never forget: The man who discovered fire was probably burned at the stake.
