Blogging sunshine dispels the dark arts
Philip Chaston (London)  Blogging & Bloggers • UK affairs

Guido's scalp may place further problems for the blogosphere. Labour's line has been to blame the medium and the messenger, spreading the slurry of 'dark arts' to Guido and even Cameron, though they are the primetime guilty party.

Now that the monopoly of the mainstream media has been blown right open, Labour MPs are demanding regulation and trying to put the lid back on Pandora's box. Hear their complaints: the blogosphere is an arena of tittle-tattle and gossip, compared to the comforting blanket of reporters and the NUJ who will take you out to lunch and treat you with respect. They will want to turn the clock back.

Well, it is the goodness of blogging sunshine that reveals the dark arts. Time to start flaming the political vampires who suck the lifeblood out of Britain with their lies, expenses, and hypocrisy. Time to follow up with garlic and the stake.

They are scared of the truth.

The problem with Pandora's Box is that once the lid is off - you can't put it back on - Thank God!

Of course the politicians and their 'tame' journalist friends are soiling their undergarments - they don't like the feeling of helplessness in the face of the blogging onslaught - they don't like us, the public, being able to cut through all their spin and lies with a few clicks of a mouse.

Thank we have the blogosphere where the real truth actually resides rather than having to rely on the tainted MSM world view.

It's hilarious watching the Labour apparatchiks getting their knickers in a knot trying to figure out how to counter the blogs which day after day, expose Labour for the Corrupt, Venal Bastards that they are.

Just to be clear, it will not just be the NuLab creatures whom should be worried about how the media world is changing; the Tories should also be concerned. That is a good thing.

Bear in mind that this government's toadies, such as part of the Met, have been willing to use anti-terrorism powers to frighten off a Tory MP, Damien Green, from doing his job. That is how desperate this lot now are. Be careful out there, people.

Well done Guido and keep up the good work.

It seems to me that now that Guido has demonstrated that checking up on the government can bring fame (and a measure of power, and certain (ex?) government advisors have hinted that it can also bring fortune- I would expect others to follow in this track- who knows, maybe some mainstream journalists will be inspired to have a go. The more the merrier.

Well struck Guido! This may be the first blow from libertarians against the statists, but it won't be the last. It won't be the last!

Mold don't grow in the sunshine.

Perhaps that's not a saying in the UK...after all, you don't get much sunshine....
