Thursday
Here is a tribute to the firefighters who lost their lives on this day, seven years ago, trying to rescue those attacked by mass murderers in New York City.
May they all rest in peace.

Indeed may all the victims rest in peace.
And let us keep alert for fresh attacks.

Amen
I can remember wandering through New York in 2004, not far short of the 3rd anniversary of the attacks, and coming across a firehouse in the Upper West Side. On the front wall of the firehouse were listed the names and dates of firefighters who'd died on duty from that firehouse; against September 11 2001, there were IIRC 10 names. That firehouse lost all of its firefighters who were on duty at the time of the attacks. Just brings into perspective the level of loss New York's Bravest suffered that day.
