I'm trying to source a quote I heard years ago. Its something like
"On the 5th of November, the British celebrate the day that Guy Fawkes was stopped from blowing up the Parliament. In Ireland, they celebrate the day he almost succeeded."

I turned 47 on Fawkes Day. No government buildings were destroyed in the making of my birthday festivities.
