Something like that...

Posted by Perry de Havilland at May 9, 2007 11:28 AM

... and what have you done to protect your site?

Posted by Anton at May 9, 2007 01:18 PM

Anton,
I very much doubt Perry is likely to go into detail on that, here, in public!

Posted by Nick M at May 9, 2007 01:48 PM

I would tell you but then I would have to shoot you!

Far better than being attacked by the undead!

Libertarian fatwa against spammers! I am off to a day of shooting large caliber weaponry a week today. I might print out something spammer related and turn it into swiss cheese with my 306.

Spam is free speech! Free Speach! The Constitution guarantees the right to free speach! By putting your server on the internet you agree to let people do whatever they want with it, and if it becomes a smoking wreck that's your fault for not having a good enough server!

Who do we call to get a fatwa? Is there a website that will ask what we want and accept credit cards, or have the imams not yet caught up to the technological prowess of pizza restaurants?

Spam is NOT the same as free speech! I read these comments because of the viewpoint of the people making it. Spammers do NOT have the right to insist that I read their stuff!!! Would you say that Satanists have the right to invade churches and preach Satanism in the church? This is the same thing, except in a different medium!
You have Free Speech on PUBLIC property, not on private!

Nick, chill. You're absolutely right. I know spammers are thieving pricks: I've been dealing with spam issues ever since Sanford Wallace.

I keep forgetting that, on the internet, every joke is delivered deadpan and nobody can hear the sarcasm.

Sunfish, for what it is worth I got the joke!
