Friday
In accordance with their ongoing commitment to the principles of constant development and change and to show that the organisation remains determined to accurately reflect the ever-changing social and cultural landscape, the BBC today unveiled its new corporate logo:

Nicely done. And all too true, sadly.
BTW, did anyone else hear the ITN "journalist" reporting from "the main road north to *Tripoli*" a few minutes ago?

As I noted on Prodicus' comments, in response to Dave Gillies suggestion to shut the beeb down, "Actually, I think all can be rectified by a change of name to the Baathist Broadcasting Corporation.... Then its bias will match its name."
I hereby propose that this be its official name, henceforth, within the Samizdata media sphere....

Or maybe just Biased Broadcasting Corporation would do the trick.

I think Time Trumpet was possibly more educational tha Newsnight on Thursday...
...Unless you wanted to be educated on the BBC's bias. I used to be able to watch BBC news programs and just filter out their bias, but it's so bad now if you attempt to filter it out you might as well hit the "mute" button!

The original logo is by DFH. Credit to the guy; he deserves it I think, although I'm sure he won't mind.

Eh? Why is that a problem? Tripoli is a port in northern Lebanon. Do you really find it so strange that there might be a road running from Beirut to there that has been attacked by the Israelis? (There is and it has been, BTW).
