Perry.............(Spross of Ross or Piers?....curious): Can you identify the spammers? If so, whom might they be & is there a pattern? If there is a pattern, what, in your opinion, are the implications?

GoD:blog was hit last night by spammers we had to add another piece of anti-spamming tech to end the tide. It seems to come in waves and mostly at the weekends.

I was reading a blog a few weeks ago that detailed how Islamofascists are employing "cyber-terrorism" against websites they deem offensive, like say any site that published or supported the publication of the "satanic cartoons". These were mostly DOS attacks, but seems that spam would be just as effective.
