A blog for people with a critically rational individualist perspective. We are developing the social individualist meta-context for the future. From the very serious to the extremely frivolous... lets see what is on the mind of the Samizdata people.

I happen to be in New York on the anniversary of 9/11 and I visited the WTC site today. Alas, I did not get to see much as the place is open only to the relatives of the victims, may they be remembered when decisions are made...

The Telegraph(Link) reports today that Ahmad Thomson, a leading British Muslim barrister who advises the Prime Minister has claimed that “Tony Blair decided to wage war on Iraq after coming under the influence of a “sinister” group of Jews and Freemasons” [sic]

But me wonders, why target freemasonry? as a Russian aristocrat famously said when asked about the root causes of the 1917 communist conspiracy!

;)

We're evidently so bored with our easy, privileged lives that we've decided to spice things up a bit by turning the UK into a religious war zone. The transition from advanced industrialised nation to Islamic charnel house is a complex one, and government advisers such as Ahmad Thomson and Tariq Ramadan have a key role to play in this process.

Wow, that big empty hole really gives a sense of how vast the WTC must have been.

The Gadarene Swine returns and is cast out again. You have been banned for posting under multiple names, or should I say "Dr. Vic" or "MT Wilkins" or "Venusian Quark"

It's probably been round the world and back by now, but this

made me weep. It should be essential reading for all. Apologies if I've been the last to read it.

Now I would bet good money that "Venusian Quark" and "John Thomas" are not only the same person but are in fact the quixotic multiple personality dis-ordered Dr. Vic posting yet more self-supporting comments. It just has the same tinfoil hatted moonbatty style and vibe.

Oh and last time I looked out the door (Leeds), I didn't see crazed Imams roaming streets and waving their Kalashnokovs at the unbelievers. This is truly delusional stuff.

Ahmad Thomson's a Muslim convert from Zimbabwe. Far from being "a leading barrister", I read that his chambers are on some housing estate in London.

Any chance you could make it by Texas while you're in the states?
