As a co-organiser of the party, can I just thank everyone for turning up. Fantastic night -- sooo many stunning women and charming chaps! Methinks we will do this again at the New Cavendish Club next year.

Hey! I wish I'd known about this, and known that there was stunning women there!

They need to hold St George's Day on a day I am not in Australia next year.

I might wish to point out that the stunning blond next to Mr Carr actually came and left with me. Sneaky bloody David obviously snuck in next to Tabitha when I was in the bog.

It was a damn good party and the best St George's Party yet. The bar staff was certainly happy with the amount of dosh with shoved their way.

Oh, and I thought they looked like such a nice couple.

dodge... she was probably hoping you had left so she could relax with david

How very droll. She seemed rather relaxed the entire evening...truth be told. It was refereshing to see that most of the people were so laid back, with some obvious exceptions.

There's a stunningly large Carolyn Mannheim (sp? from law and order) impersonator in the 4th shot, but all the rest seem merely average or slightly above at best.

Seriously, if we can't be honest about women, how can we about politics? :-)

Posted by David Mercer at April 25, 2004 11:02 AM

Oh wait, she's on The Practice...got my silly statist drama's mixed up!

I actually clicked through to see if there were comments about the "stunning women" at the party, as I didn't see any in the photo's.

Come on guys, either take better pictures of babes that are there or leave that subject alone!

Posted by David Mercer at April 25, 2004 11:06 AM

As you were not actually there David, perhaps you might want to stick to remarking about things you know about better

Posted by Perry de Havilland at April 25, 2004 01:28 PM

David Mercer, your comments were unworthy. Shame on you!

Posted by Johnathan at April 25, 2004 03:52 PM

What I want to know is why that guy in the shot with the Camryn Manheim lookalike thinks it's fashionable to wear a jacket not only without a tie, but without buttoning the dress shirt below it. I haven't seen anybody doing that since Match Game in the 1970s.

Posted by Ted Schuerzinger at April 25, 2004 10:54 PM

I celebrated St George's Day by going to the pub with friends and getting loaded. Precisely how this was different from a typical Friday evening I can't quite put my finger on...

Posted by David Gillies at April 26, 2004 08:18 PM

Well it was a real pleasure to meet you all darlings! Especially David!

Posted by Tabitha at April 27, 2004 10:48 AM

Might I apologetically cop to having been an unjustifiable bastard in the above, prostrate myself before the powers that be, wish for a login system in movable type so I could remove such thoughtless outbursts (I plead cranky late-nite sobriety!), and say that I'd not be at all sad if one of the Powers that Be removed them? Really?

Feel free to leave any and all lashes applied by others above though. And check my IP if you wish, it's me, that was me, ack.
