In an hour from now, we will know if Iain Duncan Smith has survived as leader of the Tory Party...
...or more accuratly, some of you will know, because I have just noticed that there is going to be a fascinating wildlife documentary about the mating habits of the Northumbrian Lesser Spotted Leaping Tree Vole on one of the documentary cable channels.

Update:

Now if there were a documentary about the mating habits of politicians, it would really pull in the ratings.
Err, come to think of it, they already did that with the hearings on slick Willie.

And now here comes the nightmare... Michael Howard leading the Tory Party. It will be like having an authoritarian like Blunkett only this time as a major party leader.
New Hampshire here I come.

Howard as leader of the opposition would be the ideal result for Charles Kennedy.

To be honest, at the moment, any leader of the Tory party will be the ideal result for Charles Kennedy...
