Monday
The National Space Society invites you to join fellow space enthusiasts at the International Space Development Conference, May 23-26, 2003, in San Jose, California. Buzz Aldrin will be hosting a tour of the U.S.S. Hornet on Wednesday, May 21. For more information, visit the conference website.
I'll be there: I hope I'll see you too!

It is a VERY important aspect of libertarianism that we should be involved in space exploration. Ours is a neccessary venture to balance the claims by those forces who would want the heavens as their own. We must push those frontiers backwards and pull the back ears forwards.
The exploitation of space by the security services investigating aspects of interrogation and detention is already well advanced. As a high tech substitute for Guatanamo Bay, suspects are never going to escape from a space station. There are no prying eyes, no pesky journalists and the new possibilities for data extraction are endless. In space, no one can hear you scream...
