We are developing the social individualist meta-context for the future. From the very serious to the extremely frivolous... lets see what is on the mind of the Samizdata people.

“I’m a politician . . . get me out of here!”

As reported in most entertaining style by the Guardian, Ed Miliband had rather an ordeal at the hands of Myleene Klass.

Looking at the picture Guido has up, the converse is also true.

UPDATE: Second link seems to have collapsed. Here’s the Twitter post (including the [ADDED LATER: fake] relevant photo) from Mark Flanagan’s twitter feed that Guido linked to.

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: In fairness, a lot of people, including Mark Flanagan himself and many who are no friends to Ed Miliband, are saying the picture has been maliciously photoshopped. The transition between hand and wrist does look odd. The more I look at it the more sure I am it’s fake, made by manipulating this picture here. Guido’s link has changed, and the picture no longer appears on his post.

Yet another celebrity who has just levelled up in my opinion. And look at this: “In January 2010, Klass claimed she received a warning from Hertfordshire Police for brandishing a kitchen knife (through a window) at a group of teenagers who entered her garden while she and her daughter were alone in the house – she stated she was “utterly terrified” and “aghast” at the response by the police.”

Are times changing? Is the pendulum swinging back?

  • I have long been a bit of a fan of Myleen Klass. She is not the usual showbiz ideological box ticking drone.

Let us not forget what the “Mansion Tax” is – a blatant appeal to envy and Class War.

Mr “Red Ed” Miliband is a bit of a joke figure – but Britain is sleep walking into have this person as Prime Minister, due to rigged constituency boundaries and UKIP and the Conservatives cutting each other’s throats (no pact, no agreement) in next May’s election.

Please look behind “Red Ed the joke” to what this person represents – the “values” he is always bleating on about.

    What are these “values”?

Are they not the same as Ralph Miliband (“Ed” Miliband’s father) and his tutor Harold Laski (Chairman of Labour Party – but sidelined by Clement Atlee as a dangerous totalitarian person).

Both Ralph Miliband and Harold Laski supported taking envy and Class War to its logical (blood soaked totalitarian) conclusion.

“But Red Ed is a joke” – so he is, I agree.

However, when his polices of more taxes, government spending and regulation fails (which it will) he may be replaced by someone who has the same “values” (the values of EVIL – envy and Class War), but is a lot more competent in carrying them to their “logical” blood soaked conclusion.

The rigged boundaries that Mr Cameron failed to rejig, he was apparently outwitted by Mr Clegg, who wants a situation where whoever you vote for, Mr Clegg is in a Coalition. There is also postal voting, unreformed despite numerous incidents of ballot stuffing. Why should not UKIP say that Cameron is impossible to work with, he called UKIP fruitcakes and closet racists? Perhaps it is necessary for the Conservative Party to perish. We are where we are, as Captain Kennedy said on the AMC Rawalpindi when caught in the Iceland Gap by the Gneisenau and Scharnhorst ‘We shall stand and fight, and that will be that.’.
