We are developing the social individualist meta-context for the future. From the very serious to the extremely frivolous... lets see what is on the mind of the Samizdata people.

Samizdata, derived from Samizdat /n. - a system of clandestine publication of banned literature in the USSR [Russ.,= self-publishing house]

London 07/07 Unfolding

For anyone who may be worried about relatives or friends in Central London, the Police Casualty Bureau hotline number is now open on 0870 1566 344.

UPDATE: 33 fatalities now confirmed. I hope this figure does not inflate but I rather fear that it may.

In case anyone was wondering why the psycho twats did it, here is the statements:-

In the name of God, the merciful, the compassionate, may peace be upon the cheerful one and undaunted fighter, Prophet Muhammad, God’s peace be upon him.

Nation of Islam and Arab nation: Rejoice for it is time to take revenge against the British Zionist Crusader government in retaliation for the massacres Britain is committing in Iraq and Afghanistan. The heroic mujahideen have carried out a blessed raid in London. Britain is now burning with fear, terror and panic in its northern, southern, eastern, and western quarters.

We have repeatedly warned the British Government and people. We have fulfilled our promise and carried out our blessed military raid in Britain after our mujahideen exerted strenuous efforts over a long period of time to ensure the success of the raid.

We continue to warn the governments of Denmark and Italy and all the Crusader governments that they will be punished in the same way if they do not withdraw their troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. He who warns is excused.

God says: “You who believe: If ye will aid (the cause of) Allah, He will aid you, and plant your feet firmly.”

The count will be higher. The 33 does not count the Tavistock Square bomb.

    🙁

I am okay. I was on the Tube just a few minutes away from Liverpool Street station when the bomb went off. I feel shaken but okay.

We ban criticism of them, and then they blow us up. Perhaps we could give them Bradford or Leicester, that might do the trick.

  • Islander: better to give them a tactical nuke — in Mecca or Medina.

Johnathan: thank goodness. Have a bottle glass of wine for me.

Hope the Samizdatistas in London are all ok if they were in the city.

My condolences to the City of London and the British, hopefully some Islamofascist heads will roll for this.

Jonathan – re Kim – no, go ahead and have the bottle.

  • Jon glad to hear you are alright. I must admit my first thoughts were about you (followed by Tabitha) when I heard about the attacks.

Like most other Londoners, I have a long walk from the ofice today. Same tomorrow.

Keep the relatives of the dead and injured in your thoughts tonight and spare a thought for the medical and other emergency people who had to deal with the aftermath. I cannot praise them too highly.
